Have you ever felt like your life is more unfortunate than everyone else’s? I used to think that way.
But what is the standard for a so-called “unlucky life”?
I might be one of those people who needed to fight harder just to survive in this harsh world. However, as I grew older, I came to see meaning in all the challenges I’ve faced.
I was only 18 years old at that time, but in the blink of an eye, my world turned upside down.
I studied harder and worked harder so that I could make a better living for my family and myself. However, life kept getting harder, and at one point, I almost felt like I had lost my reason to live. I kept asking myself, “Why me?”
Years went by. I found the answer to the questions that I had been asking for so long. And the answer is “Why not?”
Sometimes, you won’t find the meaning right when you face the problem. When the problem arises, you may feel angry, sad, or anxious, making it hard to think clearly. But as time goes by, when you think of it, everything that you’ve been through makes you stronger.
Now, after (censored) years of living, I can say that my life has not always been easy. But I’m not the unluckiest person on earth. Despite the hardships, I have also received many blessings and opportunities to grow. Alhamdulillah for all of the challenges that have shaped who I am today.
